Equipo de Diseño / October 2018
We sought to capture visual art that forms our days; a mural, a building, a picture of a dog. We decided to transform these details that we no longer notice into an accessory that can become a part of us. A detail that, while small, can become great.
Neckerchiefs are every day considered less fashionable, mainly because they are an accessory that offer little practicality. They can, however, be practical as that subtle detail that lives in your wardrobe. In previous years, women wore neckerchiefs to liven up the outfits they wore. They could be worn round your neck, your wrist, your waist or in your hair; sometimes even as a bandanna. Every time you wore it you could flip it over and it would be like having a new accessory. It was that extra bit of detail on your outfit you could never go wrong with.
With time, neckerchiefs began to be seen as something mostly older people would wear, but Piegatto decided that it didn’t have to be that way. New and vibrant versions were created, with rhythm and positive colours. One day you could be wearing a work of art, on the next, a photograph of a special moment that made impacted someone’s life.
We use primary colours that stand out from the rest, so that you can stand out too. Or sometimes a mixture of all colours, so that it matches with everything. Or a black and white neckerchief that would make you the colour of the day. What we’re trying to say is that each design has its own special twist.
Don’t be influenced by what the majority say, neckerchiefs are back. Don’t be one of those people that listens to those with closed minds. Capture the everyday art on yourself. Make a neckerchief the twist in your new wardrobe. Remember that one little detail can make all the difference. Make that difference.
