PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This chair is formed by 15 longitudinal parts and 5 transversal parts where, in between each, is a gap. This helps give the chair lightweight look while also allowing shadows and light to travel through it.

It's composed by 15 vertical parts of laminated wood with a matte finish and a polyurethane coating.

CONCEPT

This chair forms a part of a series of products composed from the same material. Like a piece of clay, the function, the aesthetic and the structure of these objects integrate into one monolithic piece that is created my means of various outlines of sections that join the overall surface. The beauty of these objects is that they’re defined by the lines, by the pieces of wood that, once joined together, create a new object, richer in texture and appearance.

Guatemalan based Piegatto is design studio formed by Alejandro Estrada and Sandra de Estrada, where the Double Section S Chair was created using 15 vertical sections of laminated banak wood (23 mm thickness each). The curvy and distinctive chair is available in a Guatemalan plywood finish or in a matte colour finish with polyurethane coating.

To us, the Piegatto Double Section is an instant classic. Simple, fresh and effortlessly elegant.

Esta silla está compuesta por 15 secciones longitudinales y 5 transversales. Deja un espacio entre cada una de las partes de la superficie dando una apariencia más ligera, dejando que la luz y las sombras pasen a través de ella.

La belleza de estos objetos se redefine por sus líneas, por las piezas de madera que cuando se juntan crean un nuevo objeto, más rico en textura y aspecto.
